How often do classes start?
Our cosmetology classes start the first Tuesday of each month.  Our Nail Technology classes start the first Tuesday of January, June, and September.  Our Esthetics classes start the first Tuesday of January, April, July, and October. Our start dates are scheduled to help meet our goal of maintaining a small class size. The enrollment deadline is two weeks prior to each start date.

Where can I find information about financial aid offered at House of Heavilin?
As accredited schools, we offer federal student aid to those who qualify. Please contact the admissions office for more information or start your financial aid application at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

What will it cost to attend House of Heavilin?
Depending on your career goals, the programs vary in length and cost.  Our Financial Aid office stands ready to assist you in determining your eligibility for Federal Financial Aid including Pell Grants and Direct Student Loans. Financial Aid can substantially offset your out-of-pocket costs.

Why should I attend an accredited college?
Accreditation is a long-recognized method of measuring quality in education, school administration, staff qualifications and student services. Accreditation is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the recognized benchmark of a quality education. Colleges and universities must maintain accreditation in order for its students to be eligible for federal (Title IV) student aid programs.  Financial aid is available to students who qualify.

House of Heavilin Beauty Colleges are Pivot Point member schools.

With a scientific approach to education, Pivot Point training brings together the concepts of art and science within a sound educational foundation. Art and science are used to develop House of Heavilin's curriculum for teaching in a manner which produces a highly competent and creative designer.

What do I need to enroll?
You will need to provide a copy of your high school diploma or transcript or GED certificate and a driver’s license or state ID.  If you are interested in applying for federal student aid, you may need a copy of your (or your parents') most recent tax return.  For your specific needs, please feel free to call 816-229-9000 x 3 to reach the Admissions office with any questions.
