At House of Heavilin, we understand that returning to school might feel like a huge undertaking – especially when you need to find a way to pay for it. House of Heavilin Beauty Colleges of Blue Springs Inc. (3 schools) are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). You may reach them at http://naccas.org/default.aspx.  

To apply for your Pell eligibility and direct student loans, you must complete the FAFSA at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. If your application requires your parents' information, both you and your parent must have a valid PIN. You may sign up for your federal PIN at www.pin.ed.gov/PINWebApp/appinstr.jsp.  

Please do not wait until your application is accepted by the Department of Education to visit House of Heavilin Beauty Colleges. We can often assist you through the questions about your financial aid by meeting with our Admissions office. You must remember, however, that you will need a high school diploma or GED. If you received a home school diploma, you will need the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology to approve your transcript prior to applying for your initial state license. To apply for a federal direct student loan, it is mandatory that you do entrance and exit counseling. Entrance counseling is to be completed prior to your first disbursement. You may complete your entrance counseling at entrance and exit counseling online at the Federal Loan Student Servicing web site.
