Scholarship Application

Every year House of Heavilin Beauty Colleges offer scholarships to the current year Seniors who demonstrate a sincere desire to enter the field of Cosmetology.  Requirements to apply for a scholarship are listed below:

      Ø      Must be a graduate in the current school year

Ø      Submit a 300 word, typed essay titled

"Cosmetology and My Future"

Ø      Submit a recommendation letter from a

High School Guidance Counselor or Teacher

Ø      Must begin training at one of our locations by

September of the current year

Ø      Must complete program maintaining satisfactory progress

Ø      Must have continual enrollment (no drops, and re-entries)

We do have a limited number of scholarships that we award, and they are reviewed as the scholarship committee receives them.  I would suggest that you apply for this scholarship early.

Scholarships will be awarded to account on last day of scheduled class and used for original tuition only (additional charges not eligible for payment).  Recipient must meet all above requirements to receive award.

Essays and recommendation letters must be in our office no later than May 31^st to be considered.  Mid-term graduates must submit application by December 1st of current school year.  These are not needs based scholarships.  They are awarded on essay content, grades  and recommendation letters.  Scholarships are available for all House of Heavilin Beauty College locations.

The scholarship is awarded for the complete Cosmetology course. House of Heavilin Beauty Colleges are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences, and approved for Vocational Rehabilitation programs, Veteran's Administration, and JTPA, and Title IV funds (Federal Student Aid such as Pell grants etc).
