Missouri Association of Cosmetology Schools Annual Student Competition

Use your creativity and enter a Beauty School competition! House of Heavilin students have competed in the past, and have taken home prizes and awards! Learn more about Kansas City’s Cosmetology contests today.

The event is sponsored by the Missouri Association of Cosmetology Schools each year and is open to private Cosmetology schools throughout the state. Current cosmetology, nail technology, and/or esthetics students are able to compete.  Some of the categories of competition are body art, mens sculpture, total look, nail art, make-up, and fantasy.

Junior Style Stars National Hair Competition for Students Only

Junior Style Stars is for the enhancement of careers in the cosmetology field through providing the platform for the future hairstylist to develop their artistic skills. Unlike other competitions, Junior Style Stars allows all students, regardless of location, to compete on a completely level playing field.

Each competitor performs a bridal hair style, make-up, and dress on indentical manniquins and is then photographed by JCPenny's photo studio.  The pictures are then submtited for the competition.  A national competition without leaving your home town!
